Lyle Secret, Saleem Siddiqui, Lori Steeves and Micky Singhavara – Various SMC Locations!

I would like to Authentically Appreciate Lyle Secret, Saleem Siddiqui, Lori Steeves and Micky Singhavara. Last night a little after 5pm we were preparing to leave the Mississauga office and a customer was knocking at the door. He gave a pleading face and begging hands, as I opened the door he told me he had been stuck in traffic for 2 hours and desperately tried to get here before 5pm but please please please he had 2 boxes to pick up. I told him I couldn’t take payment for his order and he informed me the account was on terms so no need to worry about that. With that I let him in with no knowledge of what to do next.

Lyle, Lori, Micky and Saleem jumped into action like they had been working the pickup counter for years. Within 5 minutes the packages were found, signed for, a few jokes were made and everyone was on their way.

Additional thanks and appreciation to Gaylia Osbourne and Danielle Christie for keeping the Mississauga pick up counter in great order. Being organized and having great systems in place made it easy for the Purchasing team to assist this customer last night. I trust that if this customer was asked to tell of a GREAT customer service experience he will share the story of last night at SanMar Canada for sure.

Brian Jacobsen and Daniele Prete – Mississauga

I would like to send an Authentic Appreciation to Brian Jacobsen and Daniele Prete! This morning, one customer had a fraud order and notified us very last minute. They immediately dropped everything on a busy day and helped the customer to find the orders and pulled off the boxes. Although the orders were wrapped on the skid and they’re in the truck already, they still made this happen for our customer. I am glad that the criminals didn’t have their ways and our shipping department demonstrated speedy problem solving and superior customer service. Thank you two for being always so helpful and I am sure our customers really appreciate your hard work too!

They were all great sports and everyone involved had a fantastic time, all while raising money for our Adopt-a-Families!

The Entire Credit Department!

I would like to take a moment to recognize the credit department staff. Not only do they all perform what is sometimes a thankless job (from our customers perspective) but they do it with an amazing attitude and a smile on their face. We have taken some major strides in improving this department and keeping up the momentum so that what we can continue to meet what I consider to be aggressive targets, and we are not even through 3rd quarter and we have already met our major DSO target for the entire year! This entire group (Andre, Colin, Dominique, Doreen and Sally) are wonderful to work with and manage and I could not ask for a better team! They are the perfect example of what a team can accomplish when all the cogs are in working harmony. I have seen some great things happen here and know there is no limit to what we can all accomplish. I appreciate all that they do!
