Omicron Variant – What’s The Latest At SanMar Canada?

The rapid spread of the Omicron variant has completely changed what we thought we knew about the pandemic, and its increased transmissibility has led to the re-introduction of certain restrictions.

It’s highly contagious and with case numbers rocketing and hospitalizations reaching record highs, it’s important that we continue to be conscious about Covid-19 in our everyday lives.

With guidelines changing to adapt to the nature of the virus, SanMar Canada re-implementing some safety measures surrounding Covid-19.

Please take a moment to re-familiarize yourself with the protocols we currently have in place, and the re-implementation of other protocols aimed at slowing the spread:

• All staff who can work remotely, should work remotely.

• If you have team members you deem essential to daily operations and require office attendance, please send a staff list and reasoning to your senior manager for approval.

• All visitors and WFH employee attendance to any SMC property will require senior manager approval in advance.

• Please note, HR will not be screening visitors. The department manager’s responsibility is to ensure that all proper safety measures and processes have been followed.

• Any team member who has the approval to enter the building on a recurring schedule (e.g. every Monday), please do not attend the office until reviewed and approved by your manager.

Managers, if you haven’t done so already, please send SanMar Canada’s Covid-19 policy to all members of your team for review, and encourage everyone to take precautions.

Departments with on-site attendance, please print and have employees review the policy.
