Vancouver and Mississauga: October 28, 11a.m. – 12p.m. (rooms to be announced)
Redmond, Winnipeg, Calgary, Montreal: Unfortunately, your locations do not meet the minimum persons to have a nurse come to you; however, you can get your flu vaccine at any drug store and bring the receipt to your manager for reimbursement.
Why Get the Vaccine?
- Reduce your chances of getting sick by 74% (If you had a 74% chance of winning the lottery, would you buy a ticket?)
- Miss less work (Missing one day can be nice, but not if you are sick in bed!)
- Don’t pass on sickness to your loved ones (The old, young and weak are more susceptible. It can be dangerous for them.)
- Helps protect women during and after pregnancy. (Also protects the developing baby during pregnancy and for several months after the baby is born)
- Flu vaccination also may make your illness milder if you do get sick. (You may still get sick, but in this situation, less is more)
Can you get the flu from the vaccine?
No, this is a myth. The vaccine is an inactive strain of the virus. If you get sick after getting the shot it is mere coincidence.
