Safety Tips Ahead Of A Busy Summer

Summer 2022 will be the first summer in two years where we can enjoy the great outdoors without pandemic restrictions lurking in the back of our minds.

Our beaches, parks and trails are likely to be packed with people over the coming months, and even though you can’t prevent every bruise and scrape, you can help prevent play related injuries.

This is even more important when thinking about children, who are more at risk for injuries, so check out these tips to keep everyone safe this summer:

  • Warm up for at least five minutes before playing to lessen the risk of injury.
  • Hydration is important, so be sure to drink lots of water before and during the game.
  • Make sure kids wear the right gear for the game, in gear that fits properly.
  • Wear sunscreen when playing outdoors, and make sure to reapply as directed.

Summer is a favorite time of year for many children – and with good reason, but it also carries danger for children. It’s important to take precautions and together, we can ensure we all stay safe.
