Today is Business Women’s Day, a day to honour and celebrate the increasing role women play in the world of business. Great strides have been taken in recent years, and while there is still work to be done to reach a level playing field, September 22nd is a day to acknowledge women in the workplace.
The day focuses on the contribution women make in the business world and on ways to ensure women are treated equally. Since the industrial revolution, participation of women in the workforce outside the home has increased in industrialized nations, with large growth seen in the 20th century.
Women in the workplace set examples for younger women and pave the way for new and inspiring professionals.
Remember – if she can’t see it, she can’t be it!
