Behind the Winning Logo Design

We talked with our very own logo design winner, Eveta Rimando, and took a look into the design process and inspiration behind her logo that captured everyone’s hearts. Check out the discussion below, and congratulations again, Eveta, your logo is such a stunning and thoughtful piece that we are so proud to wear!

Q: How did the design process go for you? What were the steps you took to create the logo?

A: This was a rush – I just started when I got home from work the night before the deadline and was thinking about what to do for the idea related to the theme positivity and inclusivity. I thought about how to achieve being a positive and Inclusive person, then I came up with the idea to use a hand logo that symbolizes the Helping, Charity and Care.

Q: What was your inspiration for the concept of both the tree and the hands?

A: My inspiration for the concept was the “Tree of Life”- this was my favorite symbol that relates to one’s life, especially mine. The parts of the tree have different meanings to me; the roots, the trunk, branches, leaves and fruits. The Helping, Charity and Care hand would be the foundation to achieve positivity and inclusivity in life. If you have all good traits and good attitude, you can start the day positively and inclusively.

Q: Was it a longer process for you or did the ideas flow in naturally?

A: It took me about one hour to draw the logo. The ideas just flowed naturally while creating it, until it came to the idea of making it as a symbol for the “Tree of Life”.

Q: Was there a specific part of the logo that you really enjoyed creating or a specific part you are most proud of?

A: There is no specific part of the logo that I am most proud of because everything in the design are very important and connected to each other. I am really proud of the outcome.

Q: Was this the first logo you’ve ever created?

A: No, this is the Second logo that I have created. The first one was in my college days- a contest for our Department logo to be printed our uniform. My logo design won that year!
