Gas Works Park in Seattle recently got the SanMar Canada treatment, with a handful of our teammates giving up their day to help clean-up their community.
Thanks to our very own Jill Bickel, Michael Villasin, Thea Condaxis, Julie Coluccio, Kristal Albertson, Jim (Kristal’s husband), Paige Curtis, JJ (Paige’s partner) and photographer for the day, Shane Morgan.
All the pictures that Shane took are below, so take a minute to scroll through them to see how the crew got on as they picked, cleaned, binned, tidied and enjoyed their afternoon together.
Here’s a bit of trivia – Gas Works Park contains the remnants of the only remaining coal gasification plant in the United States, so it’s not just a Seattle or Washington landmark, it’s a US landmark.
The plant itself has been repurposed and reconditioned so people can enjoy the park, and they’re bound to enjoy it that little bit more now given the fact that it’s just after getting its late-Spring clean.
Thanks again to our nine volunteers who spent a little bit of their time to make a big difference in their community.
