The Opportuni-Tee Team is excited to share that our Return It Challenge has raised $125 for charity, and we’re going to keep this initiative open to see how much more we can collect.
Vancouver has hit the $75 mark, while Calgary has raised $50, and we thank everyone who has been involved in giving back to our communities while also doing some good for the environment.
This fundraising drive will continue for the rest of the year, and once we have a tidy sum, we will vote on where the money should be donated.
If you’re thinking about getting involved, here are all the details you need:
Vancouver:
- Collect bottles, cans, tetra packs and bag in box drinks
- Bag them in a clear recycling bag without strings
- Take the bag to a Return-It EXPRESS Depot near you
- Print a label at the self-serve machine and use this number 604-273-9088
- Stick the label on your bag and put it in the bin
Calgary:
- Collect bottles, cans, tetra packs and bag in box drinks
- Bring them to work and give your bag to Tommy Si
- The depot is on the southwest side of the city so we’ll be doing a run when we have a sizeable collection of recyclables together
Where to get recycling bags:
- Glad Regular Easy – Tie Recycling Bags
- Superstore No-Name Quick Tie Regular Blue Recycling Bags
- Home Depot HDX Blue Recycling Bags
- Safeway Regular Recycling Bags
- Shoppers Drug Mart Life Brand Clear Blue Recycling Bags
Again, thank you all so much for supporting this initiative. It’s great to see so many of our teammates involved in charitable work and we’re excited to see how much we can raise.
We’ll have our third quarter initiative to share with you soon and if you have any questions at all, please get in touch with our Opportuni-Tee Team.
