SanMar Canada’s Tech Donation Initiative

The Opportuni-Tee Team is excited to bring you another chance to help the environment, this time by recycling your old tech products.

 

We’ve teamed up with charities that collect tech equipment and hires young people to refurbish them.

Monitors Keyboards/Mouse Any other tech accessories

 

How can I donate?

If you’re in British Columbia…

• You’ll be donating your old tech equipment to BC Technology for Learning Society
• Fill out the online donation form – https://www.reusetechbc.ca/donate.html
• Donations can be sent to #206 – 6741 Cariboo Road, Burnaby, BC V3N 4A3
• You can drop off your donation between 8:30am and 3:30pm

 

If you’re in Alberta…

• You’ll be donating your old tech equipment to Alberta Computers for Schools
• Fill out the online donation form – https://www.cfsalberta.ca/donate.php?donation=individual#details
• Donations can be sent to CBE Highfield, 3610 9 St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 3C5
• You can drop off your donation between 8:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Thursday

 

If you’re in Ontario…

• You’ll be donating your old tech equipment to Renewed Computer Technology
• Fill out the online donation form – http://rcto.ca/Be-part-of-it-donate.asp
• Donations can be sent to RCT Ontario, 945 Meyerside Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5T 1P9
• If you’re dropping off your donation, ring 1-866-206-0008 beforehand due to Covid-19 protocols

• We also love videos
• Post your pictures/videos to the Facebook Group or send to Jennaf@sanmarcanada.com

 

It’s important that we donate tech items we’re not using anymore so we can:

1. Protect the environment – reusing doubles the life of tech and protects the environment from e-waste
2. Reduce the digital divide – some schools/libraries/etc. use your donation to succeed in today’s digital world
