RWAM and our travel insurance provider Allianz Global Assistance are committed to supporting our valued clients as countries re-emerge from lockdowns and open their borders. After reviewing our Out-of-Canada (OOC) emergency medical benefit, we have agreed to remove our existing travel advisory exclusion, providing our clients with enhanced protection.
Through this change we are pleased to announce that effective immediately RWAM’s OOC emergency medical benefit will include COVID-19 coverage for all insured plan members including dependent children studying outside of Canada.
Although we encourage all plan members to heed the advice of the Canadian government when planning trips, RWAM members can be assured they will be covered for emergency medical treatment should they contract COVID-19 while away. Please note this provision is dependent upon symptoms not being present prior to departure.
